Installation Instructions
Here are the additional installation instructions that are shipped with each JambBrace® Door Reinforcer product. These instructions are more comprehensive than the basic ones that are included with the product. These are .pdf files.
Retrofit JambBrace® for single doors
Side-light JambBrace® for side-lighted doors
It is recommended that you use a high quality deadbolt lock with an ANSI (American National Standards Institute) grade of 2 or even better is a grade 1 lock. Deadbolts with these standards typically feature a 1" throwbolt, a pick resistant 5 pin system, a free spinning key cylinder guard and several other high security features.
It is also recommended that you install a U-shaped door edge protector. The door edge protector protects the edge of the door where the deadbolt is located and greatly strengthens the door during a forced entry attempt.
